RSVP volunteers are engaged in a wide range of community services such as the Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce, the American Cancer Society, the Civic Opera of the South Bay, the Redondo Beach Library, Harbor UCLA Medical Center and LAX Travelers Aid.

As a part of their services, volunteers provide clerical support, assist with mailings and provide other form of assistance to agencies. In addition, volunteers support a broad range of health providing programs designed to meet a variety of needs. They serve as receptionist in medical centers and at Hospice care facilities and greet clients at hospitals, and they help blood donors complete forms for the American Red Cross.

Community Services make up more than 75% of the volunteer services provided by senior volunteers, accounting for more than 30,000 hours annually.
