As a member of RSVP you will contribute your time to a local public or private nonprofit agency or government office (a volunteer station). The station has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with RSVP. As a volunteer there you do enjoy rights that should be recognized by the manager and staff of those stations. You will be given:

If you should need to resign your volunteer position call the RSVP office at 320-3322 and notify our staff. We would be happy to meet with you to discuss other volunteer opportunities. |

All accidents are to be reported immediately. Registered volunteers have an accident/medical policy (free) for injuries due to an accident while performing volunteer duties and keeping their hours reported monthly to the RSVP of South Bay office.
If you fail to report your volunteer hours your insurance will lapse out and you will no longer be covered.
Your coverage is applied in excess of any current personal insurance you have. You will receive liability, accident and automobile excess insurance coverage while traveling to and from your volunteer assignment. |

In a life-threatening emergency tell your support person. Remain calm, and if necessary, call 911 Follow their instructions precisely while you await their arrival. Be prepared to give the business name, the address and phone number, your name, and the nature of the emergency. Let your support person know of the accident. |

| Each year a gala banquet is given in honor of all our volunteers. This is our way of saying thank you for a job well done. It is recognized by elected officials and the community as an impressive event that acts as a vehicle to let our South Bay Community know what a difference you are making in the lives of those in need.
In order for you to qualify for this banquet you MUST keep your volunteer hours current with our office. That's it!
