The City of Torrance, in conjunction with Hermosa Beach, Redondo Beach, and Manhattan Beach, is offering a rare opportunity for those in the community to learn more about disaster preparedness and response through Neighborhood Watch.

Presenter Dr. LuAn Johnson, Public Education Program Manager with Washington State Emeregency Management, has over twenty years of emergency management experience. She has prepared a simple but detailed program designed to build and strengthen disaster readiness and response in your neighorhood, and she will be presenting this information on the following dates and times:

Thursday, January 24, 2008, 7:00 PM - 9:30 PM - Redondo Beach Public Library (303 N. Pacific Coast Highway, Redondo Beach)

Saturday, January 26, 2008, 9:30 AM - 12:00 PM - Crowne Plaza Hotel (300 N. Harbor Drive, Redondo Beach) In this 2 1/2 hour session, you will learn the program and be able to take it back to your neighborhood to share with your neighbors. Space is limited so call today to reserve your place.
