AARP Tax-Aide South Bay
February 1 through April 15 2008

The AARP Tax-Aide service provides free tax return preparation and e-filing, by volunteers certified by the IRS and California FTB. We use computers and professional tax preparation software supplied to us by the IRS.

We will do Federal and California tax returns. Customers do not need to be AARP members.

We give special attention to those age 60+. We handle almost all standard tax forms except Schedule E, for rental properties and K-1 Limited Partnerships. Taxpayers need to bring with them a copy of last year’s tax returns, and all tax documents they have received such as W-2’s, Social Security benefit statement, 1099 interest, dividend, and pension/IRA statements.

Our main site is in Torrance. There are also sites in Manhattan Beach, Redondo Beach, and Palos Verdes. All sites are handicap accessible. The location, and days/hours for each site are shown below.

This site does not accept appointments. All customers are served on a first-come first-served basis.
We are located in the basement of the TORRANCE CITY HALL building. Enter at the door behind the fountain.

This site is open from 9 am to 2:30 pm Monday through Thursday.
We are also open from 9 am to 2:30 pm only on the following Fridays: Feb. 8, Feb. 22, Mar.7, Mar. 21 and Apr. 4.

We are also closed for the City holidays of Tues Feb 12 and Mon Feb 18.
